I wanted to be a part of the events team as I enjoy getting involved and learning new things. My interests include fishing, horse riding, swimming, cycling and going to church weekly. I have 2 pet rats called Pepsi and Shirley, whom I enjoy looking after.
My name is Amy. I am excited to be part of the National Lived Experience Awards event working party because I love to help out, and it is fun.
I’ve enjoyed being part of the National Lived Experience Awards, helping build and shape the day so people with lived experience can be celebrated for their achievements in what can be very difficult circumstances. Attending last year and being part of the celebration was an epic experience. After this, I wanted to be on the Events Team for the next awards so I could help people have the experience I/we all had. Thank you for letting me have the honour of being part of the celebration.
I wanted to be part of the awards planning team because there is so much negativity around mental health, and I think it’s important to celebrate the positive and the lives of people with mental health. I’ve enjoyed watching the event come together and start to take shape, and celebrate positive mental health. I have schizophrenia, which generally has a bad press, so it’s nice to be involved in something positive.
My name is Caroline I hope you all enjoy the day and find it inspiring. I love looking after my ex-racehorses, Morning and Bridget, and my cat and kitten, Magic and Lucky. I like horse racing, show jumping and walking.
Hi, my name is Charlene. I’m proud to be part of the National Lived Experience Events team again this year. I attended the awards last year and was inspired by the nominees. There were moments in the awards that inspired me to think about my future to make positive changes. Since the last awards, I have helped organise events, as I enjoy helping others and being creative, and being part of the team has helped me build my confidence.
Hi, I am Chris. I have been involved in the National Lived Experience Awards since 2021, either as a finalist or team member. I like to be part of the awards because it inspires me to progress more, and I like to see the patients succeed for their bright future. Excited for this year and going back to Colwick Hall. Good luck, everybody.
Hi, I am Chris. I love being part of the events team as it helps to build my confidence. I love helping others throughout the events. My interests are playing my guitar, playing my PlayStation and Xbox and socialising with others. Please feel free to come chat to me.
I like getting involved in the events team and have previous experience being a judge in other services. I enjoy being part of a team and helping make decisions with the team. I like being part of the National Lived Experience Awards as it is cool, and I can’t wait for the big day.
My name is Florian, and my pronouns are he/they. After being part of the events team for the previous two years, I am excited to be part of the team again this year to help make the awards bigger and better than ever! I think the National Lived Experience Awards are very special, and it’s wonderful to be part of such an empowering event and to hear about all the incredible projects taking place across the country.
I wanted to be on the Events Team because I feel that I am the right person for the team, because I have done many projects for the Every Voice team and also stand as a service user Governor. I enjoy listening to the patient’s voice and being their representative by taking their voice to our monthly Every Voice meetings.
I’m Millie. I am a patient partner with lived experience. I want to hold this event to get to know others with lived experiences and celebrate their successes.
I have been on the awards Events Team a few times before, and I have really enjoyed it, so I always want to be a part again. It is so rewarding for me.
My name is Vicki Rainbow. I love being part of the Events Team because I love helping to make the Awards into something so special that people remember it for their lifetime. I believe that such prestigious days should be celebrated to their full potential, and I would like to be part of a team that makes that happen. I’m honoured to be part of the Team again this year alongside some of my peers. Have a great day!
My name is Paula and I have enjoyed being part of the planning team for the event in Nottingham. I hope the event is as memorable as it is enjoyable.
