This service user led art project on Cygnet Hospital Bury’s Madison Ward helped transform the ward environment. His work was of such a high standard he was asked to help improve the hospital’s Recovery College.

The DBT group put on a roadshow so all staff could come along and learn DBT practical skills from service users themselves.

Stories of Recovery at Reaside
Reaside Clinic, Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Trust
Service users at Reaside Clinic wanted to create a film offering advice to people at different stages of their recovery journey. 17 people were involved in the development of the film in which six service users openly share their experiences.

This service user worked with a Strategic Health Facilitator to develop and present training to GPs in order to help them understand service users with Learning Disabilities.

The Mark Britton Service User Choice Award
Winner:
Co-developed Trauma Informed Family Intervention
Heatherwood Court, Ludlow Street Healthcare
Through co-producing a trauma informed family intervention, this service user has empowered herself and others to enhance social networks in the community prior to discharge from hospital. By disseminating her findings within a national conference, she has encouraged professionals to support others in building these bridges.
