The judging for the 2016 Awards was undertaken by our Judging Panel supported by our team of Service User Judges. We had five finalists in each of our five main nomination categories. This year also saw the return of the live vote for the Service User Choice Award; all service users in the room were invited to vote for their favourite runner up in each category, all of which then went head to head in the live final.
Throughout the day, we were entertained with some fantastic musical performances from service users from St Andrews Birmingham, Cygnet Hospital Bierley, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and an ex-service user. The performances included some very moving original material, uplifting songs about recovery and some personal takes on beautiful classics.
Congratulations to the winners, finalists and all who attended for helping make it such a special day. And an extra special huge thank you to the Service User Events Team for planning such a successful event and our comperes who hosted the day in style!
